I sometimes add a bit more cheese and have it with maybe a salad or a jacket potato and baked beans.

When I was a kid, my ma used to make a cheesy bake/casserole that included halved hard boiled eggs and potatoes. I think it had a crispy breadcrumbed topping.For me at the time it was the ultimate comfort food. I have never seen a recipe that seems to fit. Was it an invention of my ma or does anyone have any similar recollections (and ideally recipe sources).
