Plain v Self riasing flour

Haven't a clue what galangal is, or need to know what to use if you can't buy creme fraiche locally? We're sure our knowledgeable members will be able to point you in the right direction...

Plain v Self riasing flour

Does it make any real difference, if when making a crumble, you use plain or self raising flour?

I use either and I don't think it makes any difference which flour you use. I do think they taste better if you use butter rather than marg.

I agree with VE on both counts. If you are going to have a pud then butter every time !
