Gelatine - convert sheets to powder

Hi - I'm living I the US at the moment and gelatine sheets are very hard to find. Can anyone tell me how to calculate how much powdered gelatine is equivalent to one sheet?

Gelatine

You will have to do an Imperial (UK) pint to US pint conversion, but 1 packet of gelatine will set 1 Imperial pint of liquid. Usually 4 sheets of gelatine will set 1 Imperial pint of liquid, though there may be variation between brands.

I hope this helps.

OK that helps - I'll have to get my calculator out!
The packets I have are 7g each, is that what a UK packet usully is too?

flavored gelatin

For the past weeks, I have really fancied those flavored gelatins I prepare myself. It is really easy to prepare as you just have to find your right flavoring and you are already good to go.

Though it remains quite a puzzle to me with what measures you are going to get them with so they would be at the right level of softness and rate by which they get destroyed when bitten.
