I made the traditional Xmas pud last year in a two pint basin and it went down a storm. This year I'm catering for more people and wanted to add half the ingredients again and make one single pudding in a 3 pint basin. Is there any reason why this wouldn't work? How long should I steam it for in the first cooking and then again on Christmas day? Thanks in advance!
There is no reason why you cannot double or treble the ingredients.I cook a 3 pt pudding for 5 to 6 hours, & just an hour before serving.you can of course cook the puddings in 2 bowls dividing the mixture between both.Mine are cooked in a meat tin , covered with foil , steamed in the oven.A handy way to cook more than one pudding at a time, & it also needs much less watching that way
