traditional christmas pudding

First of all I must say I love all things Delia. However, I have a small gripe with this site. I have just printed off the shopping list for traditional Christmas pudding. I did a quick check on the ingredients against the recipe. You can imagine my surprise when I saw 'rump steaks' among the ingredients - to make it more substantial perhaps! The list said plain flour but the recipe asks for self-raising flour! Completing missing from the list was orange, Bramley apple and eggs! Now had I shopped for everything on said list and was in the middle of cooking pudding only to find I hadn't any eggs!?!? The air would certainly have been blue.

Also, I should like to say what a waste of paper it is when printing a recipe that could quite easily fit onto one page of paper, it takes two sheets, the second sheet with just one line of the web address or date. Whatever happened to being eco/green friendly. Come on, Delia's technicians 'lets me having you' made this site greener and a little more accurate please.

Christmas Pud.

They are working on the ingredients lists at the mo. They was a problem when the new site was launched, things got a bit muddled and are being corrected one by one.

As for the printing, I always just print page one, it is usually complete. If not, then I only print page 2 that time to get the rest.

Best bet is to email "feedback@deliaonline.com"

Christmas pudding!

Best thing to do is invests in Delias original Christmas Book.
For me thats the best one. Then you will always have the shopping list and the recipe.

Traditional christmas pudding.

I prefer the new Happy Christmas book by far, the other one looks so dated.

Agree

Fresh and up to date.
Bought it and very happy - apart from my Elizabeth David only book I have replicated.

Thanks for all the information guys...just needed to get that off my chest! It was worth it though for all your comments and advice. Now I just need to get stirring up the pudding. Is it too early to wish you all a happy Christmas!? Later perhaps.
