Cherry tomatoes

Hi Wendy, were the tomatoes baked into the focaccia, or placed on the top after cooking - just being nosey

Tomato focaccia

Hi Karen

I did everything as if I was using rosemary but with the tomatoes.

I shall be looking round at the other focaccia in the supermarket and see what else tempts me.

Focaccia with tomatoes

I've just noticed I should have said they were halved cherry tomatoes in the holes.

The taste of the focaccia was the same but I liked biting into the tomatoes, there was just that bit of juice from them.

Yummy, did you read the comments on the chocolate torte further down on the first page of Coffee Break?

Truffle Torte :~
Yes I did see it Wendy, so glad it worked for you......it's a favourite here as I can freeze it.
I generally put it on a biscuit base, then sprinkle the amaretti biscuit crumb, mixed with cocoa and a dessert spoonful of Caster sugar on the top it goes that little bit further and behaves really well.
I also put chopped cranberries and nibbed almonds on top of the biscuit before I put on the chocolate mixture,, the cranberries cut through the sweetness and the almonds give it a bit of a crunch !!

From focaccia to chocolate torte

Yummy, I like the sound of the torte with the nibbed almonds, a lot of the cakes here are made with almonds and are readily available in various forms. Cranberries on the other hand are not. I have seen some unsweetened cherries so I might try it with those.

Thanks for the tip.
