Come on Delia Team !!!

It being St Georges Day I would have expected a typically English ROTD from the team today .... NOT a Spanish dish !!

Can anyone come up with some suggestions ?

Mini Yorkies, with rare beef and horseradish perhaps...
Old fashioned Custard Tart....
Apple Pie
Sausage and Mash ??????
The list is endless

Delia's trifle. My favourite!

St Georges Day

That has crept up on me this year! I guess it's because it's come hot on the heels of Easter. I'm going to Waitrose this afternoon and so I can get something suitable. Yummy, guess what I will be getting from your suggestions ;o)?

Sorry!

I feel bad now because I did think of it this morning but decided that a recipe using British pork on a nice sunny Wednesday was good enough to keep.

However, hopefully making up for it, and keeping it quick and seasonal I would choose this….

St George's Day

It's Toad in the Hole here as we're in the batter chapter of cookery school, so sausages and Yorkshire Pud, followed by apple pie and custard. (OK Yummy?)

Braised Pork Stew

We had my namesake (!) at the weekend. Fantastic - used the new tin to make it. Perfect. So I thought I would have a go at the Spanish dish. I hadn't got all the ingredients but juggled around what was in the fridge and really was so tasty. Shall definitely do it again. Love Delia's one pot dishes. Really helps on a busy school/work night. My brother's birthday too - so we celebrated St. George with the one pot and bottle of Spanish red.
