The Book of Mormon - play

Has anyone been to The Book of Mormon yet? Any good? Any tips on which seats are OK but not the most expensive? Thanks.

Are you a fan of Southpark? if so you will like it and know what to expect. If you are easily offended....I would not recommend it. There is an incredibly powerful publicity machine behind this show. Its very slick though and at times very funny. I am not a big fan of musicals even on a good day but if its a musical you want I think 'Matilda' 'Billy Elliot' 'Once' I enjoyed more.

The Book of Mormon - play

Thanks, Maggie. I've never seen SouthPark. Not easily offended but I detest violence and assault, and gratuitous rude, crude and lewd.

The Book of Mormon - play

Thanks maggie :) We are not prudes by any means but so often violence and so-called sex are the plot and the story, not just part of the flavour. Boring and unpleasant.

Does anyone else get fed-up with the constant F-ing these days? Almost as many F words as other words :( And often from seemingly intelligent educated people. It used to be a sign of poor education in lieu of an adjective...

The Book of Mormon

It gets mixed reviews but it did win 9 Tony awards, including best musical. So it must have something going for it!!
Maybe one you have to see for yourself and decide?

F-word

Like you, I get fed up with hearing the F-word all the time, it seems to me to becoming an accepted part of speech.

So many comedians and sitcoms think it is funny to use it as they think it's the only way to get laughs - obviously there aren't any decent writers around anymore. You only have to go back a few years to the older shows to see that the writers could write good material without resorting to bad language.
