Looking through Amazon's Kindle store from lowest price to highest, there are a huge number of often self-published books for zero cost. Being a business writer trying to enter the field of creative writing, I couldn't resist downloading this one:

"How To Write Kickass Book Descriptions That Sell: Quick Guide to Marketing & Selling Your Kindle Book" £0.00

Teaching people how to sell their books for $0.00??
Was it useful at all? or amusing?

How do they self-publish and put them out for free?
Hope you weren't hoping to make some extra money from your writing!!

I'll read it next week, Sonya. Self-publishing on Kindle for nothing is a great idea. It allows new writers to get something 'out there' which gives them more self-confidence and gives a chance for the man in the street to judge rather than a publisher.

Yes, I can see it could be good for new writers.
Are you going to give it a go?

I think I will, Sonya. To actually get something published requires a lot of attention to detail and sticking to timescales, so by setting a goal I have a better chance to succeed.
