Departed Friends....

Can you imagine......."somewhere", there is gerry, Bramble Jelly Queen, and Nanny Ogg, all swapping recipes...

What a feast there will be, slo cooker recipes, hand raised pies, and preserves that would tempt anyone's palette.

Wherever you are, We Thank You all for your friendship, help and advice over the years we had the pleasure to know you. xx

I'd like to second these thoughts, Yummy - - - and include others who disappeared from our group for whatever reasons such as Jeni-Hope and Dessert Queen. So sad to lose them.

I'll echo those sentiments too. I know that Jeni was very poorly indeed and I'm sure she is at that same gathering, serving her delicacies and perhaps making jewelry for them all.

Molly will remain one of those unsolved problems I think. She was poorly the last time I heard from her, but I don't think we can jump to conclusions.

Departed Friends....

Lots of mutual friends on here were more 'known' to individuals, so perhaps this will be a nice way to remember them all? Wouldn't it be a nice way to remember them to mention them in passing.

A few have been mentioned already, and a few we will never know about having left us.

Others may have left for various and personal reasons, but may still pop in now and again.

In the past we have had an 'overlap of lives' where we have had the fortune of meeting in a like minded way. Hopefully this will continue into the future, but it is only with participation that this will happen.

Gravy Queen
I remember Lemonsqueaky and her cute cat avatar.
Haven't 'seen' her on here for ages but thought she'd just left the forum - didn't know anything had happened to her. I thought she was quite young?
That's very sad to hear.

Haven't 'seen' Expat Badger for ages either, but I hope that's just because she's just not posting anymore?

Thank you both for your replies. I hadn't heard about that before. I remember she and James were close. That is very sad.

James doesn't seem to post here anymore - does anyone hear from him?

Departed friends ....

I feel really terrible that I can't remember this person's name, but who was the lovely woman who was battling breast cancer at a relatively young age? She had a son who was about 11 and a husband who I think might have been called Chris. I know a few of us all chipped in and James sent her a basket of goodies when things weren't going so well for her. Am so cross with myself for not being able to remember her name.
