July

Starting from tomorrow when daughter arrives from Canada for a two day stay! So excited!! She then goes to the UK for grandson's graduation and to go rock-climbing.

Mid-July hoping husband doesn't have to have operation. Fingers crossed.

End of July step-daughter and her 2 children arrive, her for a week then the boys stay on for another 2 weeks.
Can't wait to see them all. The boys want me to teach them how to cook!

Yes I read you had a hot day yesterday. With us it was spitting with rain and dull all day, so I couldn't hang out the washing!

IPinch and a punch for the first of the month

We have had three quite nice days here. It has clouded over on occasions but it has been mostly dry and sunny. I hear that there is more fine weather forecast for the end of the week. I am actually wearing cropped trousers and have taken my cardigan off recently for the first time this summer!

Good health for both OH and myself. Have had good weather in this part of the world. Derek, our Welsh TV Weather Forecaster has promised a heatwave for this month. We could do with a bit of rain but only want it at night!

Andy Murray winning Wimbledon....

If I was on earlier, I would have said Laura Robson getting through to the next round... :(

July .....

Am looking forward to our building works finally starting - am very bored of the old kitchen we are currently operating in and can't wait for this next phase of restoring our battered house into a beautiful one

New kitchen is designed and ordered, oven is chosen, we just need the space to put it all in!

July

Can't wait for Mike to finish building my summerhouse/treehouse (a house on stilts) for me and my granddaughter to have tea parties in and watch for the cowboys and indians coming up from the valley below.

Looking forward to the sunshine this weekend... fed up with the grey skies.

May have to go strawberry picking in the veg plot because I think they are all going to come at once. Raspberries may also be ripe before July is out if we get some good weather.

July

I'm really looking forward to the arrival of my third grandchild who is due mid-month. I'm going down to stay a week beforehand so that I'm on hand to look after the boys when the time comes and hope my daughter and I will be able to enjoy some quiet quality time in the promised heatwave.
