What I wouldn't give for..........

some of that good old British summer! It is forecast to be 111 degrees fahrenheit today here in Las Vegas. It last rained in April for a short, sharp shower and nothing since.
What is it that others would give anything for?

Some of your Vegas summer. Although sunny today there's a cold wind. I'd love some real heat.

What I wouldn't give for

At the moment some sunshine and proper summer weather here in France.

Apart from that, the list is endless - a supermarket with decent vegetables, proper beef, bacon and (surprise, surprise) tasty cheese!

I know, you will say I should leave France and move back to the UK if I miss these things so much but there are so many other things that I love about living here, only old age and incapacity will lure me back to the UK.!!

Well, despite the 'great' weather forecast today it was a bit chilly in Norfolk - we even had a blast of central heating! Visions of a glass or two of rose wine in the garden turned in to a cup of tea and a chocolate biscuit this afternoon...

to be able to go on lovely walks again (approx. 7 miles or so) as OH and I used to do in our 60s. I'm afraid our walking days are over but so lucky with our health otherwise and have no complaints about the weather when we wake up every morning surrounded by such lovely countryside.

Lovely to hear you say that Dot, hope you enjoy your life in your beautiful surroundings for many more years to come xxx

Weather

Here in West Wales we are having the most glorious weather. The countryside looks fabulous and the last few days the swifts have been screaming round the house, frequently. I think their eggs must have hatched!
It's real tee-shirt weather, but they say it's going to change on Tuesday.
British weather? Three fine days and a thunderstorm!

Yummy, many thanks for your good wishes. Hope you and Keith are keeping well and enjoying the good weather we've been having although it's raining here this morning.

Top of my wish list

What I wouldn't give for a chance to have a cup of tea & a chat with my MIIL who died 12 years ago. I adored her .

Would also like a little bit of sunshine , central heating on again last night .
