What are you all doing?

Bank Holiday weekend and so what are you all up to?

The weather here today is changeable... sun and we've just had a shower. So will work in the garden between showers. Also have to wait in to take delivery of a horse (of the rocking variety) for my granddaughter.

Sunday and Monday look more promising and so Sunday I'm going to a Hardy Plant sale at Kelmarsh Hall and hoping to find some unusual plants. They do afternoon teas and so I'm sure we'll succumb to tea and cake in the garden before coming home.

Thought we'd have a barbie on Monday. May have to light the chiminea as by the evening the weather is chilly.

Coffee time.

Ooo...

... and forgot to say that tonight we're going to see my daughter (Angel on here) in a show. She's in Anything Goes. So looking forward to that.

Weekend

Pottering around the garden today, then making the Rosti Crab Cakes that were our recipe of the day for yesterday, which I really fancied! We will have them for supper with salad.

Tomorrow, out for a late (and probably long), lunch at our local pub/restaurant in Spooner Row.

Monday, back to London.

what are we up to.....

when we were house hunting up in norfolk, each time we went i made us make a detour to cromer....making sure the frozen cube thingys where frozen and brought a crab back.....oooo yummmmm hubby hate it how i would sit with a hammer and bash a crab, but ooooh how yummy was that crab.

changeable weather - rather, been bleddy freezing today, well, not really but given we have been basking in 18-22c this last week or so has felt cold today, and rather grey and big splots of rain too.

tonight its "party food" chicken wings, coleslaw, wedges, and pizza.

tomorrow, i got a whole chicken that depending on weather will either be spatchcocked for the bbq, or, roasted for full works din dins - yum.

monday, which is apparently according to the weather dolly's going to be the hottest so far this year, another bbq, or, it will go in the oven -ribs, and chicken wings etc....

with the odd bit of snooker watching - shame about Trump today, motorbike racing, football watching, and a bit of garden pottering, and a bit of reading on the garden swingy thingy.

happy days.

What are you all doing

I worked yesterday. Today we are getting on with gardening and odd jobs and our son will pop in for coffee this morning. I am looking forward to tomorrow because we are meeting some friends for lunch. We have not seen them since Christmas so there's a lot to catch up on!

What are you all doing?

Had a full day out yesterday (Saturday). First of all friends of ours took us to the Antique Fair which was held on the Showground in Builth Wells. Over 1000 stalls but didn't buy anything! A Welsh Cob Show was also being held on another part of the Showground so visited that as well. We took a picnic Lunch with us. From there we drove through the Brecon Beacons - fabulous scenery - to Merthyr calling at the Welsh Mountain Centre where we enjoyed a cuppa and Welsh Cakes while watching an exhibition of Owls from all parts of the world...they were fascinating. We ended up at a Restaurant near home for Dinner which ended a perfect day. Nothing planned for the rest of the holiday so will probably do some work in the garden and enjoy the promised sunshine. Hope you all have a very enjoyable few days.

I didn't buy anything Honey because if you saw all the things we already have, I should be getting rid of some rather than adding to them. I still enjoy looking though. We still have a couple of boxes of china etc stashed away because I've no spare room to display them. When I can get around to it I'll send you a few photographs so you can see what I mean.

Weekend.

Been a bit of a cool day here. Went to see a grandson No 2 play football today as usual. The match was abandoned in the second half as a young lad from the visiting team fell badly & smashed his arm.The screams of pain were horrific, brought tears to my eyes& lots of others .Good old NHS , 7 minutes & an ambulance arrives , keys to the playing gate could not be found , but the paramedic produced a pair of bolt cutters & in they drove.
It was a sad heartbreaking site to see.

Later I found out that his shoulder came out of the socket , & the top half of his arm was badly broken , but is now resting following an operation earlier this afternoon.
I finished off marmalade that I started yesterday , 9 jars of dark marmalade made from the oranges I froze in January.
Tomorrow we will head off to London to visit my Sister , so a day of laughter coming up .
