Tuesday night blow out

Got a great friend from out of town staying with us tonight so rather than our usual frugal fare, we are having:

Beef carpaccio (made by me, for the first time)
Roast lamb with cous cous, roasted peppers and tzakziki
Prestat salted caramel truffles (haven't got time to make a pud and someone kindly gave me a box last week)

How did it go?

How did it go? Hope you had a good evening Pan. I love lamb in any shape or form as long as there is mint in there somewhere... I would really have enjoyed that meal.

Carpaccio

Honey it was great. I loved making the carpaccio - I sliced it quite thinly but then rolled it out between 2 sheets of greaseproof paper so it went really thin - very effective technique. I would def do again for a posh dinner party starter.

And we ended up having cheese rather than chocolate -a piece of dolcelatte trickled with truffle infused honey - delicious!
