French Cooking Apples

Sorry for the long delay regarding cooking apples in france.
Not been well for the past few weeks.

Saw the apples mother in law uses, in the Market this morning
Canada Grise. Mother in law states that they are better than granny smiths plus cheaper.

Hope you feel much better now Sue and things have calmed down for you.

Thanks for the information I just 'Googled' Canada Grise and that is the apple I usually buy but it just has the name 'Canada' in the shops around here. I used it in the mincemeat last year and I like to cook a pork dish with it.
