In need a coffee break

Got up early today, kids had asked for pancakes for breakfast last night.
Took one look in the cupboard for the flour and thought, todays the day it needs a really good clean.

So just sorted out all my dry ingredients and cleaned out the cupboard from spilt flour & spices. Amazing how much stuff you can put into a tiny cupboard. Had loads of nice jars in the basement and have put all the herbs & spices in these, instead of open packets spilling out everywhere.

Not sure how long it will stay tidy, Luca usually helps in the kitchen and he just throws everything back in the cupboard.

Made a soup for luch & chicken pie for dinner, might make some rice pudding later, as i found two half packets of rice in the back of the cupboard.

Now having a nice coffee and finishing off the mince pies my sister in law sent over for me.

Hi Dottie May, we are one hour infront of you, so really 10.30.

No snow here yet, has gone really cold, but not cold enough for snow. Kids think i am mad, on the way to school they said, "it should snow today as it is so cold" told them they will know when it should snow as you can smell it in the air.

They have snow in Paris, saw the news earlier.

Hope it doesn't snow, kids will be off school as the teacher will refuse to go in. Happened last year just before half term, two weeks off due to snow then half term. Unfortunately for my kids i am a mean mummy and make them work at home, even if i have their friends over due the parents having to work i get them to work in the mornings & let them play after lunch.
