Santa brought me ...

A sous vide & a vacuum sealer! We will therefore be living off a diet of very slowly cooked everything until I have mastered it! Dead excited :D

If anyone has any good recipes or tips I'd welcome the info. So far have just sealed the leftover Xmas pud, but I'm raring to go. Steak or whole beef fillet - family visitors tomorrow, so they are my 1st guinea pigs.

Santa brought me..

a candy apple red Kitchenaid stand mixer. I made the meringue for a raspberry pavlova in it last night. I've never seen egg whites whip to such a volume before. We had it for lunch today and I think it's the best meringue I've ever made. The mixer also looks fantastic!

A beautiful Hammer Stahl knife - can't wait to use it, but it's so pretty I don't want to spoil it!
Seems we've all been good girls to get such lovely gifts!

Santa brought me .........

A PamperedChef square stoneware dish, which my daughter tells me is brilliant. I've not seen these before and the instructions are fairly short so I've a bit of research to do today. Anyone on here got stoneware?

She also gave me 2 PC measuring spoons which are quite long and one is slim enough to get in to spice jars, something I brought up on here a while ago, so I'm well pleased with those too.

Meanwhile, back to dealing with turkey leftovers!

Santa brought me...

Gordon Ramsay's Ultimate Cookery Course, and a George Foreman grill (huge size!). I'll be putting both to god use in the new year, but right now am surrounded by so much Christmas leftover food that I'm taking a few days off from cooking anything!

KitchenAid

You'll never regret having one of those. I've had one for some years with quite a few attachments. A wonderful machine.

Kitchen Aid.

Have to say, personally, I think they look ugly. I'm a Kenwood Chef boy myself.

It's just one brand I cannot stand, same as Le Cruset. Sorry, but they could not have made Le Cruset look more awful if they tried.........

Queen of puds, it looks like a rock but is made of salt crystals. Takes a small bulb and gives out lovely calm light.

Is like being in a cave, queen of puds. Feels like it anyway.
