Cooks perks on Christmas Day

Talking to a friend yesterday and we agreed that the lovely crispy bits in the roast spud tray are "Cooks Perks"! To be eaten without guilt and relished !

So what are your cooks perks ?

Cooks Perks

Left-over cold roast potatoes, much nicer than hot.

Not so much food-related for me, but vino while I cook, then daughters clear the table between courses and one of the fellas will load the dishwasher while I retire gracefully to play with grandson!

Cooks' perks

Not Xmas Day so much but if cooking an untidy roast, like bone-in shoulder of lamb, I keep cutting fatty outside bits off as they cook, delicious. Nobody can tell what's missing.

Cooks Perks

To be pleased with a successful meal is perk enough for me. However, if you put me under pressure on this topic, then it's those glorious smells wafting from the oven during cooking/roasting. I don't ask for much, do I?

Cook's Perks

For me, it's the slices of streaky bacon I use to cover the turkey crown, I usually nibble on them (and serve bacon rolls separately) and share them with the dogs.
