Mega Monday

I've had trouble getting on to the web this morning and can only assume it's due to Mega Monday.

On Thursday I was trying to shop 'local' for a pair of Van Dal shoes. There were 3 independent retailers around 20 miles from home but none had the shoe I wanted although they would have ordered them in for me.

So back to Google and I found a firm called Clinkard which had the shoes. I phoned and ordered them at 11.00 and they were deliverd at 10.40 a.m.on Friday by Interlink.

What a service! I didn't have to spend cash on fuel and parking, not to mention the 2 hours it would have taken me to go to a shop.

I did want to support local, independent retailers, but at what cost?

I haven't bought anything today but had a good 'shop' on Saturday night.

Mega Monday

I shopped on line today, to send a pressie down under.

Am planning on braving the town centre on wednesday as its market day too. but my plans often don't come to fruition as i build myself up for it, then when the day comes i go into panic mode and can't even go out the front door.

Mega Monday?

I window shopped online today, but didn't buy anything. Oo, tell a lie, I bought myself a computer game (Democracy 2, if you're interested), but that doesn't really count, does it?

It counts...

...well, I think it does. You bought a gift - that fact that it's for yourself is immaterial and at least you know you'll be getting something you like!

Perfume

Bought 3 bottles of perfume from Amazon.
One was reduced by 70%, two others by 30!%.
Also bought a bag , an everyday tote reduced by 50%.
The perfume reduced by 70% is my Sisters favourite , bet she will be pleased when I visit next week.!!

Mega Monday?

No, I didn't buy anything on line. Have bought quite a few presents from Shops though, just have to pack them now. I'm a bit too afraid to buy on line, silly I know.

Online Shopping.

Oh you should give it a try, Dottie may!!!!

Some amazing offers out there! Amazon are generally cheaper than any high street shop, especially for books! I love shopping online, and its perfectly safe as long as you use a recognised company.

Having said that, I also like to go out and shop, but I tend to go with a friend and we have some lunch out and a bottle of wine. Fab.

Offer extended.

Just in case anyone else is interested, just got an email from Body Shop to say 50% offer extended until 10am on the 6th.

You need to buy 4 items to qualify, enter the code "GIFT" and get 50% off your order. Postage is only 1.99 per order too.

I got a few nice stocking fillers, candles etc for a total bargain price!

Mega Monday

Thanks James - following your post went into voucher codes and shopped !
As you say, great stocking fillers and everyone loves the Body Shop.

Dottie - I take a notebook around the high street, note prices then come home and shop online. The money saved when added up is quite startling. Have a go !
