Delia's Dundee cake

Hi, about to make Delia's Dundee cake. How long can it be stored for? If I make it today, will it still be ok to eat at Christmas? thanks!

Assuming you store it properly it'll last for ages. Let the dried fruit have a soak in whisky first then when the cake's baked and cooled, feed it gently with teaspoons of whisky. Keep it wrapped in double silicone paper then tinfoil or a tin. It's really delicious. Enjoy!

Yes it will be fine, just feed it regularly and wrap it well. I regularly make this and have one in the oven right now. It is my husband's favourite cake for his Winter late evening/pre bed tipple - a slice and a tot. Enjoy. chillie

Cheers!

Thanks for your replies - I think I may make another one and eat that this weekend!
