Christmas cake feeding- help!

I have made the standard delia cake for the last 20 years without fail. This year I also need to make one without feeding it alcohol for my friend who is Muslim. She is fine with alcohol in the cake as it is cooked, but the feeding will be a no go due to the alcohol not being cooked out. Can I leave the cake unfed? If so, when should it be made? I has planned too do all mychristmas baking this weekend.

Orange juice

I make a cake for my friend who also does not have alcohol on religious grounds , so I use fresh orange juice.
A cake will also be fine without feeding.
When I make the cake for my friend I soak the fruit for a few days in orange or apple juice , this really does make the cake more moist.
