Molasses

Hi Bookwormy, Molasses is another name for Black Treacle, the Tate and Lyle one in the red tin. You should be able to get molasses from a health food store, the black treacle you can get from practically any supermarket - the same section that you find Golden Syrup. Molasses is also called Black Strap, 'You pays your money, you takes your choice'.
Hope this helps,
Karen

Treacle

As an aside, on another thread I was told off for saying molasses were the same as treacle, but if you can only get one or t'other, needs must!
