Moving house

There is a change we might be moving house in the next few months - we are under offer and have had our offer accepted but you all know how plagued moves can be and I am assuming nothing!

However, I am giving some focus to emptying my very full freezer pre move and planning my new kitchen in some detail - if we do move, a new kitchen will be truly essential - think the last one was installed in the early 80s - on the cheap! It is a great subject to keep me distracted when running or swimming.

Moving House

oh the pain and ecstasy of moving....

I remember it so vividily, feels like 6 months ago, lol.

After 2 years we finally moved in April this year, lost 2 homes we fell in love with and lost 3 sales of the old house.

But its well worth it - for us, so far any way.

Will you be staying in same area? or a little further a field, or a major relocation?

I need to know the details now.

Talking of moving home - isn't our Sandra on the move too, down to cornwall or dorset the foot part? has that happened yet? how did it all go?

details details......(well withing reason obviously - but i am a huge nose ointment)

Moving house

Hi Sam

it is about a 2 minute walk from where we live now! I've walked past it nearly every morning for the last five years on the way to work and always said that if it came onto the market I would have to see about trying to buy it - it is a pretty tired looking house in a row of pretty smart ones so I was hoping that we might be able to afford and we just about can although it was more of a wreck inside than I had envisaged. But bigger than I thought and with a bigger garden so as always, swings and roundabouts!

Pan

wishing you all the luck in the world, with your new home, and the exciting project of making it your own.

I hope the process all goes nice and smooth for you.

Keep us (or me) posted with your updates and progress.

least the removals will be cheap, lol.

Moving house

We're planning to move house too, to Carmarthen (welshcookie, see my post a couple of weeks ago in 'can anyone help'). I was working there in August and we liked the area so much went back for a week to really suss things out and it still ticked all our boxes.

We'll start looking when we get back from a holiday in Portugal in February. We hope to move by the beginning of May so that we can get a garden going.

Exciting times.
