All the cats are fit and well and I do hope your boy is keeping healthy, too.

It has been rather hot here even the locals complained about it! It's cooling down a bit now and much more pleasant.

As for your sprouts I think the m/wave is the best way. It'll stop them getting too soggy! Whichever method you use I'm sure they'll be perfect. As one of the burners on the hob isn't working I'm wondering whether to take the sprouts off and let them go cold and re-heat in the m/wave to free up the burner.

Hi,saw your post yesterday but the OH was about so couldn't reply, he still doesn't know I post on here, please don't think I was ignoring you.

My boy is fine but he has his blood test coming up soon so I'm starting to worry about that.

As for the sprouts, if your hob is playing up it might be a good idea to stop the boiling now and maybe pop them in the freezer and restart the boiling nearer to the big day. Whatever you do I'm sure they will be perfect :o)

I will follow your very sound advice re sprouts.

Don't apologise for not replying sooner. I've been all ready to respond and either the power has gone off or there's a clap of thunder right at the beginning of my message in which I have to switch everything off.

Good Luck with your boy's blood test. Let me know how he goes on.

We have a place in Puglia surrounded by olive trees and other fruit trees. Am I right in remembering that you live in Sardinia, do you ever go to mainland Italy?

Your memory serves you well, yes, I do live in Sardinia.

We went to the mainland 2 years ago for a niece's wedding. She had a civil ceremony in the UK and went to Tuscany for a 'blessing' but she counts her wedding aniversary as the Italian one.

We don't go the mainland, I'm quite content to stay here although we might go to visit an Ikea one day!

We bought the wardrobe from Ikea, it's still standing.

Thanks for that, it might well be worth a trip one day when we finally get the house sorted with its revamp! We've only had small pieces of furniture from Ikea that we brought out with us.
