Just wanted to recommend the £10 meal for Two offer from Waitrose that I bought on the weekend which consisted of:Easy To Cook Chicken Breast Joint with Lemon, Parsley & Thyme Stuffing.Roast Veg - Garlic Potatoes & Onion.GU After Dark Choc & Vanilla Cheesecakes.Bottle of Red Wine.All delicious.
Sounds good. We have tried M&S with chicken, veg and apple pie with wine. It was actually better value than I expected. Do Waitrose have the offer every week. I quite often buy Tesco/Sainsbury any 3 for £10 deals on meat and fish then divide into portions. Tesco did 1kg fresh salmon at £10 which we found good too.P. xx
I think the Waitrose deal is great value but M&S tend to have a larger range.Pauline - Waitrose offer times vary I find, worth checking their site each week.
Both M & S and Tesco are further away from me than Waitrose but next time I'm in their area I will have a look at their offers. Many thanks for the info.
I think these can be really good value - I bought one in August from M&S - two thin cut rump steaks, bottle red, fresh chips and a cheese selection. I added a £1 bag of rocket and we were good to go!
Yes, they are good value in my opinion. We're usually busy on a Saturday and it's convenient to just come and and put something in the oven. We had the mushroom ravioli and the roast vegetables and the chocolate and vanilla cheesecake. I am trying to cut down the calories and so Mike had a pud on Saturday and the other on Sunday and they are right up his street as he loves anything chocolatey. Bottle of red too (I managed to stop at one glass). Waitrose mistakenly sent us a few extras this week in my order... sugar snaps, carrots and red and orange peppers and so I did the sugar snaps too... so particularly good value this week.
