Weekend plans

Anyone cooking anything interesting? I don't think we'll be cooking at all - all out for pizza at very nice local place tonight, staying with friends tomorrow and probably having lunch there on Sunday so just a bit of a fridge raid on Sunday night I should imagine. It always feels a bit odd having a whole weekend and nothing to cook!

Weekend Food

Haven't made any plans. I'm attempting to use things up in the freezer at the moment so it's anybody's guess.

Weekend plans

Out tonight and tomorrow hopefully spending the day in the garden so we will have lunch there and no doubt a bottle of rose.

However, I am just about to have a go at Delia's Smoked Mackerel Pate which I have never tried before! Has anyone made it?

Made a Beef & Ale casserole in my Slo-Cooker so will have that over the weekend. Will make a few suet dumplings to go with it. Not exactly a Summer meal but definitely not Summer weather at the moment.

Weekend Plans

I'm on a Serious Diet (caps intentional!) at the moment - so cooking options are limited. Possibly planning a low carb moussaka for today (depends on whether we can find aubergines and/or courgettes locally) and roast lamb with green beans for Sunday (lamb roasted as usual, frozen green beans stir-fried with Colman's Garden Mint, rosemary and garlic). Eggs and bacon for breakfast!

Serious Diet is an ongoing project, so lots of plain meat/salad or meat/vegetable combinations in my future! Two weeks done, a lifetime to go...

Weekend plans

We are going to a 30th Birthday party tonight and we are eating out tomorrow. So I'm not planning on any cooking! It's too hot for that but I'm not complaining - I love this weather. I'd much rather have this than all that horrible rain earlier in the summer.

A working weekend decorating unfortunately - only we could decide to do this when the weather is stunning !

Bowed out a little early to come home and prepare Thai Salmon Parcels . At the first mouthful we both smiled and decided life wasn't so bad after all. Had forgotten how good they are to be honest ! Perfect warm weather food.
