FAO Welsh Cookie - Aberaeron

Yesterday at the Welsh Cob Festival I looked everywhere for your Stall (Riding for the Disabled) without success?

I was there from 9.45 to 5.00. Bit of a poor show in some respects as lots of the horses were elsewhere. Also a shame about the rain. We were beside the Dutch Pancakes, Turn right when you come through the entrance half-way down the outside stalls.

The cobs that did come were of course magnificent! And I loved the Gipsy caravan and the family + chickens on the cart behind. The caravan was pulled by two lovely coloured horses which had never been used in harness before their current owner bought them quite recently.

I bought two kinds of excellent goats' cheese but nothing else.

Air Ambulance are, not suprisingly, hugely popular in the area and they seemed to be having a poor day too.

See you next year!

I must have passed you without knowing as I bought bits and bobs from the Air Ambulance stall which could have been near yours and I also saw the Crepe stall. We started off by the Grandstand and my friend and I left our other halves and went all around the area. We didn't see all the Show as we also went outside into the streets but enjoyed what we saw.We dived into a couple of the shops when it started to rain. Apparently there was another Show in Malvern and some Cob owners went there. It was mentioned maybe the one at Aberaeron should be held every two years. We enjoyed our day out anyway.
