Anyone getting ready to go on holiday, or are you staying at home this summer?
We're going to Crete for a week in September, to visit my cousin and family who live there.
No holidays planned - as we are retired we are on holiday all the time!! These days we like to make one day visits and go on coach trips etc.
Recovering from a fab weekend of festivities for our daughter's wedding! The sun shone and the bride sparkled from the start. Brilliant!
Elpe - how lovely,congrats. to mother of the bride ! The one advantage of getting old is not having to holiday in the summer. We head for the sun after Christmas generally. This year OH has a contract in Singapore from September so I will probably join him in October. Feel a flight to Bali is in order !

We are staying home this summer.Trying to finish decorating the house & sorting out the garden.The garden is a joke, no matter how long i spend out there a few days of rain and it looks like i have done nothing.I do make time to take the kids out on day trips.We go to the beach, forest & lake on the bikes, & do silly things they have never done before like going to the Zoo, picnics by the river.Would love a nice long break, lazing on the beach. (as long as it isn't to hot.)
