FAO: Gerry.

Firstly, I'm posting a link, hope it works and I hope I'm forgiven by the team.

Thing is, I'm quite proud of my bread now, and I'd never have managed it without a lot of help from Gerry. So I wanted to show her a pic, but I've lost her email address.

Gerry, this is my pumpkin seed loaf that I made this evening.

A little heavy, which I shall correct next time, but perfect for toast with loads of butter on......

This is apparently a public link so anyone should be able to see even though Im in high security settings on Facebook.

Hi James
Couldn't resist having a look, even though it was FAO Gerry! The loaf looks good and the dog is cute - is he yours?

Does this mean you now have a smartphone? I seem to remember you were rather down on them at one time:)

James's loaf

Looks wonderful, James; so glad you're carrying on making bread. I often add a mixture of seeds, usually the smaller ones so the bread doesn't break up.

How nosey! LOL! Only joking, of course I'm happy for anyone to look, its a public forum after all.

Smartphone, yes, I have one, I don't recall being anti them, but I am anti iPhones because they are rubbish. I'm a Blackberry boy!

The dog? Erm, well, that's Sydney. A basset hound (obviously). He is my friends but I look after him if they go away. He is brilliant, but a total little s*d too! Ear infection at the moment and so I clean his ears out and then give him some drops and then he tries to hump me. What can I say? He's got great taste, but he's not my type.....

Gerry.

Yep, I'm still baking! It really is down to your lovely email from yonks ago....

I don't do it all the time, I'm a huge fan of Vogel bread so I often buy that, but when times allows, its good to spending it kneading!

I rarely eat breakfast, but at 7am this morning, I was there in front of the toaster with the butter and marmite at the ready. Delicious!

Hope all is good with you, Gerry.

Kisses,

James

Gerry

I have tasted Gerry's breads and I can tell you that she really does know what she's talking about. Her pates were to die for too. And I can't tell you how wonderful her steak and kidney pie was, her pastry is perfection. Once tasted, never forgotten! Hospitality second to none.

It might not be today, it might not be tomorrow, but one day I shall be popping in to pay Gerry a visit.

Can't wait to sample her delights! Oh, lets not tell Mr. Gerry that!! LOL!
