Lakeland (re)visited

I know there was an earlier thread on this, but can't find it for the life of me. Anyway - wanted to let you all know that Lakeland is now open in Brighton - I found it by chance today - it's where Evans used to be, in Churchill Square (next to Debenhams, lower level)- and lo! it is good :) Escaped with only a set of measuring cups, a silicone pastry brush, a lemon saver and an onion saver - but if I wasn't limited by what I can fit in my luggage, I'd be broke, I tell you! Very tempted to go back for a few things. There was a lovely air-conditioned spot by the cupcake equipment that I was loathe to leave (very very hot in B'ton today!). Still lusting after potato, onion, mushroom and vegetable 'keeper' bags - may have to go back for them!

Brighton Lakeland

Haven't been to Brighton since it opened DG but am sure those bags won't take up too much room or be heavy for your suitcase! Would have loved to have met you there again but am going up to Cheshire for a few days to visit friends and then staying with Honey for a couple of nights on the way home. Enjoy the rest of your stay in Brighton.

oh ging - i had totally forgotten you was in brighton at this time, James the naughty tinker never reminded me - i am unable to meet up with you this trip i am sad to say.

but i am so glad you enjoyed lakeland - and yes it has been hot down here lately hasn't it.

am now as i type badgering my OH to take me to lakeland but the wonderful "green party" are putting the mockers on it at the moment - Have you seen how much it costs to park in brighton now!!! MIL lives at the hove end of western road - in april it cost us 2.20 to park - its now 6.00 for ONE hour!!!!!!!!!!!!! and they are ruining the entry roads in. and no we are further out - the bus takes almost 2 and half hours to get there and the trains are a total no go area for me.
