Barbecues

Yes you read it correctly, barbecues.... what is your favourite on a barbie? Do you stick with traditional sausages and burgers or do you get really creative?

Barbecues

I love foodie's butterflied leg of lamb. I usually do some sort of chicken kebab, either tandoori/tikka, delia's chicken with whole spices or Greek style. Always bangers for Steve and usually corn on the cob, peppers and aubergines. We usually start of with sardines.

Might have a BBQ at the weekend if it's warm

Braai

I like to stick to the basics and a variety of meats (lamb chops, pork chops, a bit of steak and boerwors) and then do some type of veg. A real favourite here is new potatoes, par-boiled and then wrapped in an envelope of foil with whole unpeeled garlic, rosemary, thyme and a little olive oil. Delish!

we love to be quite adventurous with the old bbq. but as only 2 of us, it seems more work - but enjoyable work, espeically waiting for 40 odd mins for the coals to get hot.

I do my butterflied leg of lamb - ribs - home made burgers of various meats and other ingredients current fav is pork and apricot - i also make various skewers of chicken steak prawns (and a flush moment monkfish)and various veggies - have also finished jacket spuds off on a bbq too. but there always seems to be a rogue banger on the barbie too.
