Honey's Granddaughter

Just in case my question gets lost on another thread, thought would give it a post on its own!

Just wondering how your new granddaughter is, and her Mummy ?

Honey's Granddaughter

Thanks Gravy... Well I would never have believed the emotions that one little baby (actually not so little), can evoke. I would think that you are getting very excited at the prospect of joining the club.

Angel is doing good thank you. Lauren was measured the other day and I can't remember what the scale was, but if the lined up 75 babies in order of height (shortest to tallest)... she was number 75! So I've told her to put a brick on her head.

Honey's Granddaughter...

Oooops, I meant to say... if you lined up 100 babies, she would be number 75 !!

Lauren

So glad she's doing well. I expect she'll be as pretty as her mum. BTW I've read that birth length is no indicator of future height, but in my very limited experience it has been a total indicator. Any thoughts or experiences anyone?

Honey's Granddaughter

I would have to agree Gerry. Abbie (now 17) was a very long baby with long toes and fingers. She now towers over me at 5' 10 1/2", has size 9 feet and still has the lovely long fingers.

re Honey's granddaughter

My 2 boys measured 17 and 19 inches at birth, the latter grew to be much taller than the former. My cousin's 2 boys were 17 and 21 inches, the former is short and the latter grew to 6 feet 4 inches.

Height of children

I am told that on their 2nd birthday they will be half their final height . In that case eldest Granddaughter will be 6ft 1in and youngest 5ft 11ins !!!!! both parents are tall.
My eldest at almost 11 is 5ft 1in now .
