My Secret Kitchen

I've Tried a few of this company's products and am very impressed. So much so that I'm tempted to look into it as a second income. Would appreciate any members comments, good or bad about their views on the products .

Many thanksx

I went to one of these 'partys' about a year or so ago and enjoyed it. I thought the products were good and they worked. I even considered doing it myself too although I wasn't so keen to go out in the evenings which mostly it would entail.
The only drawback is that the products are quite pricey and with the recession people are buying less of things they don't really need and also often people may have one party but not more so it gets harder to sell as time goes on, although of course there is internet selling as well.Although I'm sure you've thought about all of that yourself.
To sum up... yes the products are great but I wouldn't buy them very often.

Too expensive

I really feel that all the products are way too expensive.

Glad to say I am not in the position of having to count the pennies, having said that , I would not pay that kind of money for the products.
People with young families trying to make ends meet I am sure would be very reluctant to spend that kind of money in this economic climate.

Sorry Saffy , but you did ask..

Thanks for the replies. I think to assess it a little more I will attend a few more farmers markets and see how people spend their money there.

I live in a fairly affluent area and think that this could be a goer.

I wouldn't do many of the taster parties though; I'm not keen on them at all and always feel under pressure to buy when I attend. Also, when the girls were tiny I did Pippa Dee - my friends were all very supportive and all held regular parties for me, but I really don't fancy asking them or them feeling obliged to do this again.

I hope it goes well. I saw on another thread that you live in Warlingham. I moved from Chelsham around 12 years ago now. Lovely area and although I like it where I am I do miss it a bit.

We converted a barn at Ledgers Farm, Ledgers Road.(The Blacksmiths)
What a small world indeed! We may have met who knows? I didn't go to the mother and toddler group though as when we moved there my daughter was too old. Is The Bull and The Harrow still there?
I remember Sainsburys being built!I loved that store!
Warlingham is such a lovely place, and so near to everything. If we ever moved down south again that is where we would want to be.
My sister in law lived in Kenley but has moved since, and my husband also built The Old Laundry on Ledgers Farm (before he met me) and came from Caterham.
My stepson lives in Caterham now on Townend.

I know the Barn Linze - it's lovely.

I worked at Sainsbury's for a brief time when I was expecting my eldest daughter. It's the social hub of Warlingham.

The Bull is now the Coachouse. Been bought by the family that own most of the houses on Bull Common. It's a really nice pub now and most of the "oiks" have gone!!!

The Harrow is OK but is far more of a food pub nowadays and not much atmosphere. The White Lion is something of a creche these days!!!! The Leather Bottle is now a very popular Tapas Bar - La Botiga, but I don't reckon the food is up to much. The Horseshoe is our watering hole of choice - great food there as well, but speedy service at the bar and they welcome dogs :o)

The Hare and Hounds has been closed for a while, being refurbished. I've heard that it may become an Italian restaurant, which would be good. The Good Companions closed a couple of weeks ago - heard that it could be an Aldi or a development of houses.

So many pubs..... so little time ;o)

Oh yes, and I work in Caterham!

Memories are flooding back!
The Hare and Hounds was run by some Australians last time I was in there but that was a very long time ago. Time passes so quickly, it just seems like yesterday!
I worked at Oxted. I was a receptionist at a dentists there, and also worked at the Abbey National there for a while before that.
Those days there was a Safeway there which I believe is a Morrisons now.
Glad to hear the pubs are still there even if the Bull was a bit rough! It's such a shame that so many are closing down now.

Im a consultant!

Hi Ladies, I have an hour without the children and hubby and made the mistake of browsing online - now ive found you talking about MSK I suspect I wont get anything that i planned to do completed!!
I have been a consultant for 2 and a half years and love it as much today as I did when I started. Yes our products are waitrose prices but we are all taught the reason why - ie no bulkers, fillers, addictives or preservatives - all produced in the UK and 3 of our products also have a GOLD standard taste award. Also as people can taste them before purchasing theyu know that you like them & therefore not waste them. My repeat sales in high and I can do this all from the comfort of my own home. Im in Surrey and worried about the busy Christmas season ahead, we do not have enough consultants to cover demand yet - if you are serious please give me a call, there is a joining offer of just £35 at the moment, which is an absolute bargain! I would love to help you establish a business of your own - Pre Christmas sales have been amazing for the last 2 years and I think this year will be even more! xx

Nicola - were you at the Purley Festival? I'm sure the lady I was chatting to about this was called Nicola, but I lost her details.

We bought the Artichoke Pesto and the beer bread mix which we adored.

If you are the lady I spoke to, your joining this thread could not have come at a better time as I'm currently filling in application forms for jobs I don't want to do!!!

Well. Small world!

The good news is that Nicola IS the lady I met at the
Puley festival. We've been in touch and I'm going to give it a go.

Yay
