Delia's recipes

Delia does the whole range of recipes from frugal to indulgent. Surely it is up to you to look at a recipe and decide whether it fits in with what you want?

Healthy eating

Well i haven't had any wheat or alcohol since Sunday morning (since Saturday night for alcohol in case you were thinking I was downing Bloody Marys with breakfast!) It has been easier than expected, I have lost about 1.5lbs and feel much flatter tummied. Instead of having Fruit & Fibre for breakfast I have been having a sliced banana, 0% fat Total greek yoghurt with runny honey and some flaked almonds - delicious and really filling! Whole carton of Covent Garden soup at lunchtime (I am working Mon-Fri and I find having a carton much easier than making my own and putting it in a container to leak over my bag on the way in...) THen at night I bake a piece of salmon and have it with a huge salad of rocket, avocadot, tomato, cucumer black olives and sunflower seeds. All really nice. The only day I varied was when I had a work lunch so we had sushi and then I had the CG soup in the evening. I have a high capacity to eat the same thing several times in a row so haven't got bored yet either!

healthier eating...

we have been actively doing Slimming World - not the proper classes, but we have all the info. today is day 10. and on day 7 weighing day.....I had lost 3lbs and hubby had lost 4lbs.

We are finding that we do enjoy fruit more than we both thought we would - but its early days, and I managed to brave a banana - but thats my lot - cat bums still linger in my head. And i have found i love real pineapple and nectarines, especially added to cereal.
