Hello Lurkers

I was one for a long time and wondered if any of you would take up the challenge to post! Go on, what could possibly go wrong....
Everyone is very friendly and helpful too, should you need help.

I am a Lurker!

I look at this site every day and read all the posts. Am amazed at how versatile you cooks are. Afraid my days of adventurous cooking are long gone but I do enjoy reading about all that you do. So...keep it up and I promise to post now and then if only to let you all know I am still here!

Hello Pattie!

Nice to hear from you. I find that I do more reading about cooking (books, magazine, internet) than actual cooking. Sure that applies to lots of people - I find it inspiring though and am more willing to try new recipes than stick to old favourites.

I'm a Lurker.....

I pop in every day too, to keep up with events. Like Patti, my days of adventurous cooking has passed, but love to hear what others are up too. And I find it a lot easier on the hips!!!!! Keep up the good work!!

Well, I'm not a lurker ....

But hopefully this post will encourage more newbies to actually say hello. We were all new once and once you've taken the initial plunge, it gets easier so come on in, the water is warm ;o)

Lurkers

Patti and Cool Granny - it doesn't matter if you are an adventurous cook or not, or a first time cook or cordon blur, or 16 or 116. this site has all sorts of willing cooks which make make it work.

such a wealth of knowledge among us, we have bakers, veggies, greek dish, home preserving experts and all sorts here to help - and good natterers too.

And i am sure there have been posts where someone has asked a question and YOU knew how to get that poster out of a tricky situation - or where you have seen a particular ingredient or utensil. participation comes in all shapes and sizes. I bet you both have some lovely recipes up your sleeves that you could share with us.

go on be brave - you know what we are all like.

Thank you for your kind words. I may not post very often but I try to visit daily......... I have picked up so many idea's and tips from this site, and when I have asked a question in the past I have always received good advice. My family tease me when I say I have got something from D O L. But hey, I have a thick skin, I should worry!!!! Cheers everyone.

I must be a Lurker then

Reading through the messages and I must be another Lurker. When I have time I do love to try out new receipes as I am a strong believer that home cooking is best. You know exactly what goes into the food and it tastes so much better that shop bought food.

It would be nice to hear from you

Hello jwn and well done. Now you can post away, the first one is the hardest. I agree with you, home cooking is always best and it's so good to share food with family and friends. I cooked things years ago that friends still comment on now - of course they could be hinting that it is time to invite them again!
