How often do you cook ?

Discussed this with some friends the other evening and we all agreed when kids lived at home every day.
Now it seems we are all happy to admit if we cook 5 days out of 7 that's a bonus !

How often

Daily when kids were at home. Now I have an occasional no-cook day and we eat bread for meals. It's when I've just made a fresh loaf.

How often do you cook?

Pretty much most days. Even when i am dieting (as I am at the mo) i will bake a piece of salmon with some lemon and fresh herbs and prepare a salad from scratch. Really enjoying adding seeds like sunflower to my salads at the mo, which I never used to do. and on those days, OH will eat something like chilli from the freezer - I make big batches and freeze in portions.

Cooking a lot this weekend as we have guests - fishcakes on Friday, Chicken Basque on Saturday and then roast chicken with sausagement, spuds, butternut squash and salad on Sunday x

How often do you cook?

Most days. I cook when there is someone to cook for but will often not bother if it's just me and will make do with a fishfinger sandwich or an omelette.

I cook virtually every evening when we eat at home. Very occasionally we will order in an Indian meal or get takeaway sushi/sashimi, but this really is a rarity. However, we do eat out a fair amount.

How often do you cook?

I cook every day unless we are going out to eat. I have to be feeling really lazy before I will say I'm not cooking, if you want to eat it will have to be a take away. Mike doesn't cook and so just very occasionally if we get home late, I will say... go and get something if you're hungry... I'm having a night off. Some of my friends have every Saturday night off, or they have one night a week when they don't cook... :o) I've told Mike, but it falls on stony ground.

Not as often as I used to, now there are only the two of us and OH has retired! He likes cooking too, so probably does about 2 meals a week, at least.
I often cook enough for 2 nights as we don't mind eating the same thing twice in a row.
So probably only cook 3 times a week, and other nights may do some steamed vegetables or salad to go with leftovers.

How often do you cook?

With two hungry kids i cook everyday. Luckily they eat everything so no problem with what to cook. Would love to have a night off and get a take away, but we live 7km from the nearest village (nothing there) and a drive of 15 minutes to the nearest town where there are only a few restaurants. Best to stay at home.

How often do you cook

I usually cook five days a week as we usually go out one night and sometimes have a take away or get some lovely bread and pate and cheeses and just have that.
My husband is really fussy and will not eat reheated food so I can't batch bake or cook anything in advance. He will not even eat left overs.
I do love cooking though so am more than happy to do it.

how often do you cook?

its home cooked everyday in our house. I cook the most - and maybe once a week, OH throws something in the pans - even if its one of my pre made ready meals from the freezer.

I would say, about once or twice a month i may "treat" us to a shops ready meal, be it pizza - or chinese meal, or chicken breasts flaboured like southern fried chicken. all other times its home made.

I'm a bit like Sam - I cook nearly every day - although we may resort to frozen pizza once in a while, or have the occasional 'bread' meal if cooking doesn't fit in with other stuff we have to do that day. Maybe once or twice a week I'll put real effort in to making something, most of the time it's easy food like shepherd's pie or a stir fry. Once a month or so I'll make up a big batch of base curry sauce for the freezer - and after that it's a matter of minutes to throw a good curry together.

The kitchen is a foreign territory to my husband, and I'm happy about that - I know where everything is, and it stays there :)
