Little Black Dress (LBD)

I recently read that most women have a LBD in their wardrobe which they very rarely use. Must admit I have one - a plain black shift. It's not used often but does come in very handy with different accessories etc. Do you have one?

I think I have only had one-bought for a christmas trip to Guernsey. Alas as with lots of things I grew out of it and sent it to a nearly new sale. A friend bought it and it has since been on at least two cruises. So at least the dress has cruised the Baltic even if I haven't. P.xx

Certainly have and it's lovely. Bought decades ago and still worn.

No LBD but various trousers, skirts and tops in black.

I do, a lovely Monsoon beaded dress. Another few pound off and a pair of magic knickers and I'll be able to get into it again!
TBH I'm not comfortable in dresses and prefer a smart trouser suit; that said, I have just bought a dress to wear to a wedding that is absolutely perfect for my shape and is the right length to hide my psoraisis so I may be tempted to wear it more often.

I have one and love it but might have to get a new one as I am almost 2stone lighter than when I bought it .

I still prefer skirts and dresses to trousers., but my son looks fab in a kilt .

LBD

I have at least three of varying degrees of 'glam' and they all get rolled out on a fairly regular basis. I do quite a lot of 'smart' dos for work and they are an essential part of my wardrobe. In fact I have a dinner on Tuesday and will be wearing my current fave which is basically a black velvet t-shirt shaped dress from Toast that is smarter than it sounds!

LBD

I had one that seemed to stay a classic for years but then decided that perhaps it was a little bit young for me as I've got older and I've now replaced it with a different one which is just as nice but slightly longer in length! Actually my original LBD was so classic that I recently sold it on Ebay and got more for it than I think I originally paid as I sold it as a 'vintage' dress!
