Who were your idols when you were growing up? Mine was James Dean and I had quite a few photographs of him but Mum wouldn't allow me to stick them on the bedroom wall. Later on I fell in love with Paul Newman and still have a super photograph of him - he was my "bestest" favourite.
Mine were David Essex (swoon, enjoyed him in Eastenders recently!), and Christopher Lee as Dracula (which worried my parents a little). I had a brief interest in David Cassidy and Donny Osmond, but soon moved on to Marc Bolan and David Bowie :)
Billy Fury on my bedroom wall, saw him live in The Potteries but my greatest heart-throb was Robert Fuller who appeared on TV in the western series Laramie, loved him for years!!
Oh yes indeed Foxylady - Robert Fuller - he was gorgeous, but my favourite was Michael Landon from Bonanza!
Adored Billy Fury and saw him on stage several times.
Clint Eastwood and Robert Horton in Rawhide, we had magazine cutouts of them under our desklids at school. I wonder if Robert would have been as big a star as Clint if he had lived?Karen
Another one of my favourites. Used to watch him play Flint McCullough in Wagon Train.
I'm with Dottie - Paul Newman every time. It started with Butch Cassidy & Sundance - but then I saw him a a B&W film called Hud - swoon, even when you couldn't see the colour of his eyes ....Later it was David Soul, then Sting of course, & later came Kiefer Sutherland. These days - James Martin, but I am also seriously taken with the chap who plays Damon in Vampire Diaries - far too young, but nice to look at!!
Had a senior moment earlier on, and forgot to mention Ward Bond, not young, but such twinkly eyes - like a favourite grandfather. MY modern favourite is John Duttine, I first saw him in "The Devil's Crown" then he was in several classics, now he has put on a bit of weight but he still has the looks.Karen

You're not alone Elpe. Tommy Steele was another favourite when I was a bit younger. I remember going to see him in Tommy the Toreador!

We must be around the same age Darkginger as my pin ups were the same as yours! I also liked Paul Young.
Darkginger must be a woman of taste because I think one of my earliest crushes was on David Essex too... it's his eyes.
