Apparently the full moon tonight will be 30% brighter and worth looking at if there are clear skies, as it's 15,000 miles closer to Earth than usual.

It's going to be the biggest moon until 2014, so am hoping the skies clear a bit - cloudy right now, and cloud forecast, which is just typical!

Doesn't look like we will get to see it tonight either, been nice all day and Oh even managed to cut all the lawns, looks a treat. But in the past hour it has clouded over and now started to drizzle !!! Blast !!

How far away will it be tomorrow night ??

Has anyone managed to see it? Saw pics on the telly I think in other countries and it looks amazing.

It remained cloudy here - went outside for a look, and could see that the clouds were brightly backlit by 'something', which I can only assume was the supermoon, but not a glimpse of the thing itself. Ah well, roll on 2014!

Cloudy sky last night so didn't see it - very disappointed.

Saw it at about 10.30 last nicht and although it looked bright it didn't look any different. Apparently you needed to look at 4.30am. I was fast asleep then.

Lovely clear night now so we were able to enjoy it around 11pm. I believe OH took a photo so may be able to post one later.

Had a look at 5 this morning, didn't really look any bigger than a full moon. Was a lot brighter.
