Coffee

how do you like yours? I have a cafetierre which i use all the time and also buy the coffee beans and ground myself. I am not struck on instant coffee. I even go so far and take into work the individual coffee filters, get about 10 in a box from marks.
Tanzanian coffee I try to buy too....How about you?....foodie.

Coffee..

Like you, we use a cafetiere quite a lot, but also have a range of instant coffees for a quick fix. Like an espresso after a meal, and some of the new generation of instant ground coffees are excellent. Millicano is a favourite, they are surprisingly good for instants.
Are the coffee pods still popular? we never went down that road, and I don't like the packs of latte, etc that you can get.
Cheers!

coffee

I like mine made into a cake.
I'm not much of a coffee drinker but when I do have it I half fill a mug with milk stir in the coffee and microwave it or sometimes boil it in a milk pan on the gas.

coffee

the OH is a coffee addict. Over the years we've had many machines and those things you put on the gas but now he has perfected it. He was shown how to do it in Italy.

Coffee...

We have espresso (not one of the fancy machines, the sort Violet Eyes mentions) when our Italian friends come, instant for 2 English friends who don't like proper coffee, in the morning percolated coffee for us and as it drips into a thermos jug we can take it outside and it stays hot.

We use a cafetierre for straight black coffee and a Tassimo for once-a-morning latte or cappucino.

coffee

i have a cafwhatsit, but i rarely use it now.

but i lurve my pluppy coffee machine.

I am trying out rombarts coffee at the moment.

and i was given a pack of coffee from marks and spencer i think its from peru -tasted rather nice actually.

not keen on lazy sunday myself.

neices both worked in a coffee shop on saturdays and school holidays - and i would go in, and buy a different coffee every week - some were vile, some were weak - and some really delicious - they would grind the beans for me.

but i do also buy instant coffe - usually "gold" either nescafe or tesco or co-op own "gold" coffee.

Coffee

I like it black and at home I just use Nescafe Black Gold but I'll try anything on special that's quite intense.

Coffee

I like Dowe Egberts instant coffee and tend to go for a breakfast blend for my weekend cafetiere coffee.

Coffee

We had an electric percolator for years but binned it when cafetières appeared and we have three of them now, different sizes. I really like Taylors Italian Blend. Also have a Bialetti for espresso. We usually have a jar of decaf instant for certain visitors. This coffee thread reminds me that I must get some Tim Horton's for when my Canadian friends visit soon. Can't beat a good strong coffee after a meal, with dark chocolate on the side. Oh yes, in M & S the racket they make banging the coffee thingy is enough to give anyone a headache!

Oh dear

I guess the site doesn't like accents as something weird has appeared (above) when I typed one.

Coffee

I can't bear coffee! It gives me heartburn too, I also think it gives me bad breath.I will drink it to be polite and I like walnut cake with coffee in but that's about it.
