Not forgotten by me! What does tend to get forgotten is that it's also Shakespeare's birthday (and anniversary of his death, poor guy died on his birthday!).I would cook something 'English' if I'd remembered to buy it or defrost it - but it looks like chicken salad from yesterdays leftovers! However (to quote the Bard) "Good wine is a good familiar creature, if it be well used." - so I'll try to 'well use' some tonight by way of celebration :)

To celebrate (as if we need an excuse) we bought three new roses today then had lunch out - roast beef plus all the trimmings piled into the most enormous Yorkshire pud. Greetings to all!

I hadn't 'forgotten' as I don't think I ever knew the date!! But now I do - and also the Shakespeare connection, which is interesting.We had curry (dhal) last night - that's English now, isn't it? :)
