I should be packing up the house, "should" being the operative word - can't face another day of it - so weekend off.

Tomorrow we'll no doubt "slob out"
- both aching from the last weeks efforts ! Have booked a table at local tapas bar so need to be out of dressing gown by 7pm. !

Sunday, friends for brunch which will no doubt morph. into a day of hedonism - what's not to like ?!

Quiet weekend.

Off to London tomorrow to see family , so no cooking , then Sunday we are dining out with Son No2, so not a lot going on.
Am going to make a chocolate cake , will use the recipe that is on here , it was posted afew days ago , so hoping for a very moist cake.
Weather is supposed to be bad , so will potter indoors.
Have a nice time on the Ooze , happy a birthday to Alice.

Nothing much planned here - it all depends on the weather. Looks like it's going to be sunny tomorrow afternoon, and we have a new camera that's we're attempting to get competent with (that's Carl and me, not the royal 'we'), so we might go out and take pics of something suitably scenic.

Also working on our own personal website on which to post those pics, entertaining the dogs, doing a bit of grocery shopping and maybe, just maybe, finally getting to grips with the wine kit, cider kit, and sambucca kit we bought/were given a while back. May also make some nettle beer, since our nettles are just at the right stage :)

Housework when I get in followed a by a couple of glasses of vino collapso. Tomorrow hubby is doing another fun run so I'll walk the mutt and then it's home for a day of stripping wallpaper in the hall, stairs and landing and rubbing down the woodwork. Thankfully we're going to friends' for dinner tomorrow night so no cooking for me and Sunday is walking Sonny again while hubby goes for a bike ride and then more decorating. Out for dinner with my brother and his family on Sunday. I usually enjoy weekend cooking the most but am grateful to not have to this weekend as it means more time can be spent on decorating.

Ok not to sure what TGIF means.

Good luck with the stripping Saffy, we moved in November. Plans were to wait until the weather warmed up before we started (that is I not we). After 3 weeks i couldn't stand the dreadfull wallpaper anymore, so it came off just before christmas.

Saturday son has a football competition all day, so have to go and stand in the rain to cheer them on. Hubby is working saturday night, so just the kids to cook for. They love it when their papa works we have egg & chips.
Sunday, plan on putting the third coat of paint on the doors and frame work, paint in france is terrible. If the weather is not to cold, will start to plaster daughter bedroom.
Not much cooking going on.

It stands for Thank God It's Friday Sue!

We are in Norfolk having griddled chicken and salad tonight. I have taken a load of Donald Russell minced beef out of the freezer, so tomorrow I will make a massive pot of ragu and a few portions of Cottage Pie all for freezing. We will be at home all weekend just pottering.

However, after this particular week I fully intend to be nursing a rather large gin and tonic at precisely 6pm! I will be raising a glass to one or two people who may be out of my sight but are not out of my mind. You know who you are.... ;)

Have a lovely weekend Nor - and i hope the weather is kind to you.

No real plans here, hopefully able to get in garden and tackle some dreaded ivy that is holding up our fence, and bind weed and mow the grass again.

hoping to cook in the tagine, delivery of books pending.

and watching the grand prix.
