Moist Chocolate Cake

This is my recipe for Moist Choc Cake:
110g dark brown sugar
225g margarine
110g golden syrup
175g SR flour
50g cocoa
4 eggs
Method: Cream fat & sugar, add eggs & mix, then add syrup & flour. Mix thoroughly. Turn into either a base lined 2lb loaf tin, 2 base lined 7" round sponge tins, or 1 base lined deep 7" round cake tin. Bake at Gas 3, 170 deg C for about 40 mins if 2 small tins, 45 mins to an hour in one tin. When cooked turn out & cool. Fill with choc buttercream and/or cover with choc coating: 175g dark choc with 1/2 TBS vegetable oil microwaved for about 2 mins (in 30 second bursts till melted & smooth). Pour onto cake. Keeps well (if it lasts that long). Hope this fits the bill!

Moist Chocolate cake

I've used Lynda Down Under's recipe for a Chocolate Fudge cake many times and it's lovely.

After much searching online I've found Lynda's recipe:

http://www.deliaonline.com/community/yourrecipes/baking/Chocolate-Fudge-Cake.html

The facility to search for members' recipes is really disappointing on the site now - so difficult to find anything and the only way I managed this was by doing a google search...... this could really be improved :o(

Chocolate cake

Thanks Sonia. I would like to see Members names come up with the recipes. Years ago you used to be able to type the member's name into the search facility and you could access their recipes easily.... some members are known for their recipes and it would be good to find the member (ooerr missus) and then scroll through their recipes. Another member who did a fab chocolate cake was Out to Lunch.... ooooh, brain has just come into gear and he called the cake Kim's chocolate cake and I've found it with a google search :o)

Chocolate Cakes

I've made Lynda Down Under's choc fudge cake many times, usually for a dinner party pudding with raspberries on top - so yummy. Have also copied Queen of Puds' recipe which I shall try next. I remember Noreen's recipe and have it in my recipe files so will copy it out if anyone needs it.
