Lime Curd

I have nearly a whole jar of lime curd because I needed some for a cake filling. Has anyone any good ideas of what else I can use it for please?

Ice Cream

Hi Essex Girl, You can spoon two or three desert-spoons of curd into one helping of a soft ice cream, or make a litre of lime curd ice cream to serve at a party; or just when the weather is warm.
Hope this helps

LIME CURD

Use instead of lemon curd for some Maids of Homour, they are wonderful!

Lime curd

Make some vanilla or lemon or blueberry muffins, make some standard buttercream but then fold in equal quantity of curd & pipe or spoon on top of the muffins. Or fill a cake in the same way. Or make a pastry case & spoon some on top & top with whipped cream, or make Delia's little lemon souffles but with lime curd instead.

Lime Curd ideas

Having just had friends round for "afternoon tea" I didn't really want to make any more cakes at the moment, even though I love the sound of your ideas. Will bear in mind for the future, so thank you. Kayb's suggestion of ice cream seemed the best option because I also had a pot of clotted cream left over. I found a recipe on line so have been busy churning this morning and now have a tub of lime curd clotted cream ice cream in the freezer!

Lime Curd

Hi All

I'd like to have a go at making this. I've found a recipe online with a microwave method.

Juice of 4 limes
2 Eggs
110g Caster Sugar
60g Butter

Do you think this would work out ok? I'd like to mix it in with some white chocolate ice cream. Hardly any calories in that! : )

Lime Curd

Anything that ask you to use lemon curd , use your Lime Curd. Delia has a lovely recipe using Lemon Curd (recipe within the recipe) for a Celebration Roulade which is to die for.....I would recommend that one :)

Please would you put a link to that roulade recipe. I tried to find it under celebration roulade and also under lemon curd but it's not there. Thanks, Ann

I agree Ann, it can be quite difficult, I think though in this case the reason is it was on a Sainsbury's card from the Magazine and not in one of the cookery books......

Will make sure you get a copy ;) x

Lime curd

What about that lovely pud Honey did for us last time we met up? Low fat Greek yoghurt stirred through with the curd and crushed raspberries on top. I do this often. Love it.
