White fish recipes

I've just bought 1K of fresh haddock from my local fishmonger as he was selling it half price. Now, I don's want to batter it so has anyone got any good recipes please? Cinnamon

Fish

Fish pie for some of it?

With some of the rest, make a spicy coating with a little gram flour, chilli powder & ground coriander powder, fresh ginger, fresh coriander leaves, make into a paste etc (or other spices of choice) & spread that on top of each fillet & bake it in the oven & serve with a mild veg curry & naan bread or rice.

Then there's always fish cakes.

White fish recipe

Our local Sainsbury's had cod loins reduced to a ridiculous price so I bought the lot; like you I wanted something different so I made a Goan Fish curry. I was in a hurry so picked up a jar of the Goan curry paste that Sainsbury's do, a tin of light coconut milk and chopped and fried an onion as advised on the jar and it was delicious. Served with a soya bean sitr fried mix with extra beansprouts from the veggie aisle. A definite do again meal and it took maximum of 15 minutes prep and cooking time.

Use for white fish

I buy cod loin for a cod and prawn balti. Cut it into big pieces and I do the sauce first and then only cook the fish and prawns for a short while at the end so that it's not over cooked.
