Does this work? Freeze either raw or cooked. Can you freeze french onion soup.

Freezing onions

At the back of my mind, I have a feeling I remember someone on here saying they keep a bag of chopped onions in the freezer and just use them when they need them. I know you can buy bags of frozen chopped onions in the supermarket... so I can't see why you can't do them at home. I also think you could freeze them cooked too.

Would I freeze soup? Well I'm not a soup lover and so I would never keep any left over. But I guess it's worth a try. But if it's a case of saving time 'on the day' and wanting to prepare ahead.... I would say it could be made a few days in advance of you needing to serve it.
