pastry in a saucepan

I used to have a recipe for pastry made in a saucepan. First you melted the butter then added flour and an egg and sugar. Then you mixed the ingredients and it worked into a soft dough which you could use a base for a tart. I have forgotten the proportions of the ingredients, can anyone help?

Sounds like choux pastry or a version of a type of hot water paste. Have a look at Delia's & see if that looks familiar?
