Candied peel

I always make Christmas puddings and use as Delia recommends whole candied and citron peel. I can't find it in my local supermarkets on on line with the supermarkets. Can anyone help. I live in Bury, North of Manchester.

Thanks

candied peel

Try looking at this website buywholefoodsonline.co.uk - I buy bags of candied peel from them every few weeks - I buy a kg bag (I think) which is about £17-£18. It seems a lot but I use it in fruit breads, Chelsea buns, Christmas cake and puddings at this time of year - the uses are very wide. It is superb quality, you get a mixture of lemon, orange and lime and don't need to use a lot. Its also good to put a thin slice on top of a lemon syrup cake or the like - I sometimes put a slice on top of gingerbread. Hope this helps. Hazel x
