Meusli - Granola

I bought some Granola (haven't tried it before) and went to transfer it to a plastic container only to find there was a large amount of Meusli already in the container. Must have been in there for around 6 months so don't fancy it any more. Rather than bin it, do you think the birds would like it?

muesli -granola

I've got some muesli in my cupboard and it's more than 6 months old and I would still give it to the OH. But if you really can't eat it then feed it to the birds I'm sure they would pick out the bits they like.
I make granola all the time as we get through a lot and it's really nice, in fact I have to make some this morning.

Meusli - Granola

Many thanks for your comments Violet Eyes. I'll try the Granola for Sunday's Brekkie. I'd be interested to know how you make it. Will see what the birds make of the Meusli. I'm sure the peski Squirrel will enjoy it!

Dottie's Muesli

Sounds like you have trouble with squirrels too, Dottie. We have even more in the garden now there are babies too.

Meusli

The Sparrows/Tom Tits appear to be enjoying picking out bits and pieces. Also Freddie Pheasant is interested but Cyril Squirrel doesn't appear to be interested at the moment. Yesterday, a young Squirrel was at the bird table most of the day so OH went out and threw a sweeping brush at it - he missed the Squirrel but managed to break the brush....more expense!
