Frozen rhubarb

Frozen rhubarb

When defrosting frozen rhubarb mine always become very wet. Has anyone any ideas? I fancy making a crumble this weekend but every time I use frozen rhubarb it becomes a sludge.



When I defrost rhubarb I always leave it out overnight.
I put mine in a colander over a bowl saving the liquid.
If I want to make a crumble I use the fruit & just a little of the liquid, I discard the rest.
I open freeze my rhubarb with a good sprinkling of brown sugar , but a lot of this sweetness goes when you defrost ,so you need to sweeten again.
Honey on rhubarb crumble is delicious, gives a great taste.
